Jimmy Thompson Swimmer Participaiton Program

The Jimmy Thompson Swimmer Participation Program provides participants with a no-cost, barrier free swimming and fitness program.  The goal of the program is to introduce participants to the wonderful world of competitive swimming. Every child in Hamilton should have the opportunity to learn to swim, regardless of their ability to pay.  HAC, along with our partners at the Boys and Girls Club and Jumpstart, are thrilled to provide this opportunity.

The Jimmy Thompson Swimmer Participation program engages youth to participate through the Boys & Girls Club, City Recreation Centers, Schools and Member referrals. Just like 'Jimmy Thompson did" we attempt to make this program barrier free.  New for 2023, HAC will be accepting all youth aged 4 and older.
